Acceptable Use Policy

  1. Introduction
  2. This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) defines the permitted and prohibited uses of VoIP.ms services. By using our services, you agree to adhere to this AUP and any related agreements and policies. VoIP.ms may update this AUP at any time, with changes becoming effective once posted on our website.

  3. Prohibited Uses
  4. You are prohibited from using the Services to:

    1. Unlawful Activities
      • Engage in activities that violate any applicable laws or regulations, whether local, provincial, national, or international.
      • Transmit, distribute, or store any material in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
    2. Fraudulent Activities
      • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
      • Engage in fraudulent activities such as phishing, identity theft, or financial scams.
    3. Harmful Activities
      • Introduce malicious software, viruses, or other harmful content.
      • Conduct or promote activities that harm VoIP.ms, its network, customers, or others, including DDoS attacks, network flooding, or attempts to breach security measures.
    4. Unsolicited Communications
      • Harvest or collect information about others, including phone numbers, without their consent.
      • Send or facilitate the sending of unsolicited bulk communications, including but not limited to SMS, or robocalls, except when meeting legal standards for call center traffic and have prior approval from VoIP.ms.
      • Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Services or the networks and systems connected to the Services.
      • Use the Services in a way that negatively impacts other customers' ability to use the Services.
    5. Prohibited Content
    6. You are prohibited from using the Services to call, message, send, facilitate, store, post, or transmit any content or activity that VoIP.ms, in its sole discretion, determines to be illegal, harmful, abusive, harassing, threatening, deceptive, fraudulent, inappropriate, or otherwise improper.

      Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

      • Engaging in harassment, abusive behavior, threats, intimidation, or activity intended to mislead, distress, or harm others. Sending or facilitating scam, phishing, fraudulent, or deceptive content, including DMV, toll road, utility, bank, cryptocurrency, or similar scams.
      • Sending or facilitating drug-related content, including controlled substances, drug names, or slang variations.
      • Sending or facilitating URL shorteners, masked links, redirects, or links to harmful, misleading, or non-compliant content.
      • Sending or facilitating content or services intended for mature audiences, including explicit media, companionship services, adult-oriented entertainment, novelty intimacy products, nightlife venues, or other age-restricted material.
      • Sending or facilitating hate, harassment, profanity, racial slurs, or content attacking any person or group.
      • Sending or facilitating alcohol-related content without prior review and approval.
      • Sending or facilitating regulated goods, controlled items, age-restricted products, smoke-related products, botanical wellness products, or related services.

      VoIP.ms and its partners may block, filter, suspend, reject, or otherwise restrict calls, messages, campaigns, or related traffic based on message content, keywords, URLs, telephone numbers, campaign IDs, carrier requirements, complaints, traffic patterns, or other compliance indicators.

  5. Call Traffic Quality Standards
  6. VoIP.ms monitors voice traffic patterns to ensure acceptable use of the Services and to protect the integrity, reliability, and reputation of its network. As a general benchmark, VoIP.ms considers voice traffic to be within acceptable quality standards when it maintains an Average Call Duration (ACD) of ninety (90) seconds or more and an Answer-Seizure Ratio (ASR) of seventy percent (70%) or higher.

    Traffic that consistently falls below these benchmarks may be reviewed by VoIP.ms and may be deemed inconsistent with normal or acceptable usage patterns, particularly where such traffic is high-volume, automated, artificially generated, or otherwise indicative of abusive or non-compliant activity.

  7. Security Obligations
    1. Account Security
    2. You are required to maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify VoIP.ms immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach.

    3. Network Security
    4. Implement reasonable security measures to protect your systems, applications, and networks from unauthorized access or use. This includes, but is not limited to, using firewalls, anti-virus software, and strong, complex passwords.

  8. Content Responsibility
  9. You are solely responsible for the content transmitted through your use of the Services. VoIP.ms does not control or monitor the content of communications, but reserves the right to remove or block any content that violates this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).

  10. Reporting Violations
  11. If you become aware of any violations of this AUP, you are encouraged to report them to VoIP.ms at [email protected]. VoIP.ms will investigate and may take appropriate action in accordance with this AUP.

  12. Enforcement
    1. Actions by VoIP.ms
    2. VoIP.ms reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your access to the Services, block data transmission, or take other appropriate actions if it believes you are in violation of this AUP.

    3. Cooperation with Authorities
    4. VoIP.ms will cooperate with law enforcement and other authorities in investigating claims of illegal activity or violations of this AUP. This may include disclosing information about you or your use of the Services to government authorities as required by law.

  13. Limitation of Liability
  14. VoIP.ms shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the Services in violation of this AUP, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.

  15. Amendments
  16. VoIP.ms may modify this AUP at any time by posting a revised version on their website. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your consent to the updated AUP.
